Little House Grand Opening

Women With Scissors are at the Little House!

The Little House
Ann, Kelly, Loretta, Susan and Gina (from left to right).

It’s official, this is our first post on our blog and we are so excited to start writing and updating everyone with classes, events, crops, tips and tricks and things we love.

We officially opened Women With Scissors at The Little House on Saturday,  March 10th, 2012 and the response and support we received was overwhelming!  We had a huge turnout of people attending and a large list of people that sent their best wishes on our new venture.

A heartfelt thank you goes out  to each and every one of you that came out to support us or sent their best wishes, Tucson (and surrounding area)  crafters ROCK! You guys are the best and we know it!

Now onto the events of the day!  We had great make and takes, information on classes, food, balloons, prizes  and lots of fun was had by all!  It was so nice to see faces that we haven’t  seen for a while and to meet lots of new people who we hope will soon become part of our family.

Ann doing her first make n take!  The most adorable tear bears! I know everyone enjoyed learning this great technique! If you didn't get a chance to learn how to make this check out her upcoming class.

Ann is a talented scrapbooker and teacher and I know we are all looking forward to seeing the incredible layouts and new techniques incorporating all the latest papers and embellishments she will be offering in her classes.

Susan explaining her make n take, as you know its all in the details! She loves layering, and layering, and ok layering some more. Her motto is make it as complicated as possible. Just kidding!

If you have ever taken one of her classes you know that she really enjoys mixing and matching and these little details that make her projects uniquely her! And I know that she will be coming up with some new creations to charm us all.

Here is Kelly, the queen of color! If it can be colored she's your go to person. Now that we have this great new class room she is looking forward to bringing you new techniques and projects that will take you beyond Copic and pencils. She is always on the cutting edge of new tools and products and loves to share with us all.  I can hardly wait!

Gina's make and take was the cutest little box with a hidden treasure inside. She is amazing with the cricut and can explain all the ins and outs of this machine, even to me! She will be offering cricut basics and more advanced classes that will incorporate projects using your cricut.

And for all of those little crafters out there Gina will be offering the coolest kits crafts and clubs!

Loretta spent the Open House welcoming  all of our visitors to The Little House, explaining who the heck these Women With Scissors are, and that they are not dangerous but a fun loving bunch of crafters wanting to share the love of it all with everyone! She made the day go smoothly for all of us. She is the balance to all of this craziness!

Loretta is a fantastic crafter and will be bringing you some wonderful technique based classes that you are going to love, her first project is a versatile mini book using K and Company Rose and Fauna Botanical  collection. Its beautiful, wait and see!

Our very own buffet hostess: Tieler!  Such a sweetie for volunteering to help make the trays and serve all the goodies and keeping the table pretty.

The buffet was yummy!

Can you believe that is will be our very own classroom!

Look at all the beautiful fruit and veggie trays!  I sure enjoyed the tasty treats, especially the cookies!

Everyone had a good time mingling, catching up with one another and checking out what upcoming fun will be happening at The Little House!

Loretta will be presenting the cards to the President of the Women's Auxiliary for the VFW this week for them to forward them to our troups. We know that they will appreciate your contribution.
